Professional Career History:

Following her law school graduation Magistrate Judge Bloom was a staff attorney in New York at the West Side SRO Law Project representing indigent tenants in Housing Court. She then served for thirteen years as head of the Pro Se Office of the Southern District of New York. There, she won the Second Circuit Merit Award three times.

Judge Bloom has taught at Columbia and New York Law Schools, and served as a longstanding member of the Pro Bono and Legal Services Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
