Professional Career History:

Judge Cannon practiced law in the Virgin Islands since 1980. In 1980, Cannon worked at Legal Services for St. Thomas and St. Croix. In 1982, he was an assistant attorney general in the territory. Between 1983 and 1985, he worked with the University of the Virgin Islands' St. Croix campus. In 1985, he entered private practice as a partner with the law offices of Ross and Cannon. He stayed with that firm until 1993.
