Heard a rumor that Browning has hired - can anyone confirm? Also anyone hear anything from Parker, Black, or Johnson?

per OSCAR email:
Thank you for your application to serve as my law clerk. I recently completed selection of my law clerks for 2011-2012 and wanted to advise you of my decision. It was a difficult decision, and the pool of applicants was very strong. I regret that I could not hire more.
I first decided to hire Joanna Barry. Joanna is a third-year student at Vanderbilt University Law School. Joanna is Notes Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law and was on the Deans List in 2008-09, and Spring 2010. Joanna is a graduate of Cornell University School of Industrial Relations, where she received a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations. Joanna also studied philosophy, politics, and economics at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. Joanna was an undergraduate intern for New Mexico's United States Senator Tom Udall during his service in the United States House of Representatives.
My most recent selection is Ryan Walters, who is a third-year student at Baylor Law School. Ryan is Technical Editor for the Baylor Law Review and is third in his class. In addition to having his first comment published in 2010, Ryan has a second comment coming out later this year. Ryan received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with a 4.0 and with Highest Honors with the English Honors Program. Ryan is from Lubbock, Texas, and has many friends and relatives in New Mexico, particularly in the southeastern part of the state.
I regret that I cannot extend an offer to you as well. Your resume, credentials, and references are impressive. I wish you the best in your career. I know that you will do well. Best regards.
James O. Browning
United States District Judge

What an odd email. I wonder how his new hires feel about their personal information being emailed to hundreds of people.
