Professional Career History:

Upon graduation from law school, Judge Schulze acted as law clerk to the Honorable Roszel C. Thomsen of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. She then accepted a position in 1981 as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland. Judge Schulze remained in this position until 1991, when she became a Legal Advisor to the Governor of Maryland. On October 24, 1994, Judge Schulze was appointed a United States Magistrate Judge of the District Court for the District of Maryland. She served as Chief Magistrate Judge from May 6, 1999 until May 6, 2006.
