Professional Career History:

Having been commissioned in the U. S. Air Force in 1973, Judge Connelly entered active duty in 1977 as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Department. He was released from active duty in 1981 and has served in the U.A. Air Force Reserve until the present time. Judge Connelly holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and serves on the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals.

Judge Connelly entered the private sector in 1981 as a partner in the law firm of Stern & Connelly in Camp Springs, Maryland, and remained there until 1995. On March 31, 1995, Judge Connelly was appointed a United States Magistrate Judge of the District Court for the District of Maryland.
