According to a post on the notification blog, AMK hired a '10 Mich grad for OT-11. If true, this brings to doubt the correctness of 133's post about AMK's hiring practices.

I still think it's atypical. Yes, he did it last year, too. But he didn't do it two years ago, nor (I believe) did he do it the two years before that. The story is that he uses a screening process in general (which he likes) and interviews in the fall/winter, but he is willing to hire *one* early every once in a while if he thinks that person is a superstar.

The interviews in NYC were for the last two spots in OT11 (but, of course, AMK might offer someone an OT12 spot).
No idea if the screening process is done or if they're going to do another day of them. My guess is that AMK's screeners are done.
