They plan to schedule about 30-35 interviews. About 20 scheduled right away, the others are scheduled on rolling basis. About 10 of the interviewees will cancel or not accept the offers, so that leaves about 20-25 interviews for 10 spots

I heard they make offers relatively soon if necessary but not always - depends on both their and the interviewee's circumstances. Also heard that they prefer to decide sooner rather than later, but I could totally be wrong. I'm going in in October too and hope they haven't filled up too many spots by then.
