Can anyone answer either (or both) of the following questions:
1. I've heard that there is a salary bump for pre-law school work experience on the Fed. Cir. Is that the case? Does anyone have details?
2. Does anyone have a list of which Fed. Cir. judges take clerks for 1 year as opposed to 2?

Per OSCAR, there are several judges currently accepting applications for 2011-2012 (Moore, Dyk, Linn, Clevenger). Any word from these judges? Are they contacting any 3Ls or graduates? Specifically, Judge Moore? I know that many Federal Circuit judges hire people with a bit of experience and therefore, hire outside the plan.

no word here. I'd guess that Dyk has made calls; he typically jumps the gun and see above re: Lourie. Other judges, I dunno. I suspect the worst (i.e. it's over)
