 Judge Edmondson

May 27, 2009, 10:33 PM

 Re: Edmondson, James Larry

#3

Why does Judge Edmondson have 4 clerks listed for 2009-10? I assume that listing is incorrect because he is now hiring (via OSCAR) 3 new clerks for 2009.

 – Anonymous (Unregistered)

 Likely an OSCAR mistake.

May 27, 2009, 10:43 PM

 Re: Edmondson, James Larry

#4

90% sure that the dates in OSCAR are typographical errors and Judge Edmondson is intending to hire for 2010-11, and not 2009-10. For instance, for one of the postings the application period continues after the start date, and in all of them he claims to follow the guidelines (even though they'd be irrelevant if he was really hiring for 2009-10).

 Carnes Clerk demographics corrections

Jun 3, 2009, 4:21 PM

 Re: Carnes, Edward Earl

#8

Just some minor corrections to your list for Carnes' recent and upcoming clerks. Judge Carnes did not hire a Jones grad for 2009-2010. The correct data is: 2008-2009: Emory (3L) Emory (3L) Virginia (3L) Florida (grad- JD in 2007) 2009-2010 Georgia (3L) Alabama (3L) Emory (3L) Texas (3L)

 Applied Online

Jun 30, 2009, 1:00 PM

#27

#22, what do you mean you applied online? Did you email his secretary? Are you an alum? If you're a student and all you did is finalize your OSCAR application, Pryor won't see it until the fed plan kicks in on Sept. 8. I don't think Pryor has ever waited that long to hire. [From OSCAR] "Please know that once your application is finalized, you will not be able to make any changes to your documents or recommender. Applications from 2009 and earlier graduates will be immediately viewable, whereas applications from 2010 graduates will not become viewable until Tuesday, September 8, 2009 "

 Re: Hull, Frank M.

#92

I don't know anything about Hull's status this cycle, but she tends to hire off-plan and usually likes to stagger her clerks' start dates (so she might have 1 clerk starting in January or February). Also, she routinely hires at least 1 person out of the 11th Circuit's Staff Attorney's Office.
