90% sure that the dates in OSCAR are typographical errors and Judge Edmondson is intending to hire for 2010-11, and not 2009-10. For instance, for one of the postings the application period continues after the start date, and in all of them he claims to follow the guidelines (even though they'd be irrelevant if he was really hiring for 2009-10).

I suspect Pryor has been interviewing students for quite some time. He acknowledged my mailed application back in May and asked for grades as soon as they were available (I'm a 3L).

#22, what do you mean you applied online? Did you email his secretary? Are you an alum? If you're a student and all you did is finalize your OSCAR application, Pryor won't see it until the fed plan kicks in on Sept. 8. I don't think Pryor has ever waited that long to hire.

I don't know anything about Hull's status this cycle, but she tends to hire off-plan and usually likes to stagger her clerks' start dates (so she might have 1 clerk starting in January or February). Also, she routinely hires at least 1 person out of the 11th Circuit's Staff Attorney's Office.

And, career service offices are nearly always wrong, and generally useless in helping to land a clerkship.

dubina has hired at least one Alabama student for 2011-2012 she just graduated and is clerking for a district judge this coming year. She has family connections in montgomery so I have no idea if it means he has interviewed anyone else or is conducting other interviews right now
