Pay at the USCAAF is identical to other federal clerks.
Plus the courthouse and chambers, methinks, are nicer.

I am interested in clerking with Judge Effron for Summer 2010. Any word on whether he usually takes 1Ls with extensive legal experience and a veteran? Also, does anyone know the amount of pay for a summer intern?

How beneficial would a clerkship with the CAAF be for someone going into mainstream mid/big-law? I am clerking for a state appellate court this coming year and want to know if a clerkship with the CAAF would be worthwhile. While its website says that the court deals with issues of "constitutional law, criminal law, evidence, administrative law, and national security law," would this experience be beneficial for someone who does not have any per se interest or experience with the military or military law? Any advice is appreciated.
